Overview
The AchKayEm Sony BRAVIA Simple IP module brings a Sony BRAVIA professional display into a Crestron control system. It talks directly to the display over your local network using Sony's **Simple IP Control** protocol, so the display can be switched, adjusted and monitored from a touch panel, a keypad, a schedule, or any other logic in your program.
It is a **SIMPL+ module**: it compiles into your SIMPL Windows program like any other module and exposes ordinary digital, analog and serial signals. There is nothing to upload to the processor separately and nothing to register on it. Drop the symbol in, set the display's IP address, wire the signals you use, and compile.
Feedback follows the display - The display reports every change of power, volume, mute and input by itself, whoever caused it. Change the volume with the handheld remote and the module's feedback follows. A status poll every few seconds covers start-up and anything that was missed.
Built for unattended rooms - The connection reconnects by itself after a network interruption or a display power cycle, and the module reports its connection state, last command, last response and last error on its own signals, so a problem can be read in SIMPL Debugger without a site visit.
Requirements - A Sony BRAVIA professional display with Simple IP control and Control remotely switched on (both are in the display's network settings; Control remotely is off by default on European models), reachable from the processor on TCP port 20060. A Crestron 3-Series or 4-Series control system programmed in SIMPL Windows.
Licensing - Every program start begins a 30-minute trial, so the module can be evaluated with no code. Activation is an offline activation code from the AchKayEm licensing portal, pasted into the module's `License_Code` parameter; the processor needs no internet connection. The license is stored on the processor and shared by every instance of the module in the program.
The download is a zip holding the module (`.usp` and `.ush`), the manual (PDF), the signal list, the feature list and the change log.

Version history
v1.0.2Latest
No change to the module's joins or its behaviour.
- A sample SIMPL Windows program in the zip:
AchKayEm_Crestron_Sony_Simple_IP_Driver_Sample_Program_v1.0.2.smw, withAchKayEm_Crestron_Sony_Simple_IP_Driver_Sample_Program_v1.0.2.mdon using it. It holds the module, an XPanel 2.0 Smart Graphics at IP-ID 03 wired to every join the touch panel uses,Connecttied high so the module connects as soon as the program starts, every other join completed, the parameters at their defaults, and an RMC4 as the control system. Unzip the whole zip into one folder (the program, the.uspand the.ushstay side by side), open the program in SIMPL Windows, setIP_Addressto the display's address andLicense_Codeto the activation code, then compile and load it. Its README says how to change the control system. License_Codenow shows a placeholder, paste activation code here. Paste the activation code over it, or leave it there to run the trial. Never clear the field: SIMPL Windows will not compile a symbol with an empty text parameter ("There are incomplete symbols in this program"). The module takes the placeholder as no code and says nothing about it (shared HKM licensing library 7;Driver_Version$ends(licensing library 7)).- The licence file in the zip is
AchKayEm_Crestron_Sony_Simple_IP_Driver_LICENSE_v1.0.2.txt: it had no extension, so Windows did not open it.
