Overview
The NovaStar H Series Q-SYS Driver enables control of NovaStar H Series Video Wall
Splicers from a QSC Q-SYS audio/video/control ecosystem. It communicates using the NovaStar H Series Control Protocol (v1.0.19) over UDP or RS-232 (Beta), providing comprehensive control of screens, layers, presets, and device configuration.
This plugin is designed for professional AV integrators deploying Q-SYS-based control systems in broadcast facilities, corporate lobbies, command centers, retail displays, houses of worship, and other venues where centralized video wall management is needed.

Version history
v1.3.2Latest
- Control pin names and pin groups are restored to their 1.2.0 values.
v1.3.1
- Implemented Reflect capabilities based on Q-SYS feedback
- Activation is now retained across script restarts and emulation cycles.
v1.2.0
[1.2.0] - 2026-05-12
Added
- Per-Core Licensing
- Core ID and Licensed-To fields added to the About tab.
- Starting Screen ID property (0–350): enables two driver instances to share a single H Series device by splitting the screen range between them. The first instance sets Starting Screen ID to 0 (controlling screens 1–N) and the second sets it to N (controlling screens N+1 onward). All UI labels, PrettyNames, protocol screen IDs, and poll calls automatically reflect the offset.
- Increased maximum number of screens to 30. (Note: A high number of screens and a high number of layers will cause minor UI refreshing delays when switching tabs)
[1.0.0] - 2026-04-20
