Q-SYS Smart Timer

The Smart Timer plugin provides a robust, state-machine-driven timer with staged warning triggers for Q-SYS automation workflows.

Timer Modes

• Count Down: Start from a configured HH:MM:SS value and count toward zero.
• Count Up: Start from zero and count upward toward an optional target duration.

Time Display

• Large HH:MM:SS: Clear, readable time display suitable for UCI panels.
• Elapsed & Remaining: Separate output pins for elapsed and remaining seconds.
• Progress Bar: Visual 0–100% progress indicator.

Full Transport Controls

• Start: Begin the timer from the configured duration.
• Pause: Freeze the timer without resetting.
• Resume: Continue from the paused position.
• Reset: Return to idle with default duration restored and clear all active triggers.

Staged Warning Triggers

• Up to 5 Stages: Each with independently configurable HH:MM:SS threshold at runtime.
• Runtime Knobs: Adjust warning thresholds while the design is running — no need to re-deploy.
• Active Toggle: Enable or disable individual warnings at runtime.
• One-Shot Firing: Each warning fires exactly once per timer run.
• Crossing Detection: Warnings fire at the precise tick the threshold is crossed, preventing false triggers on short timers.
• Trigger Type: Choose between Pulse (momentary) or Maintain (latched until reset) trigger behavior.
• Pulse Output: Configurable pulse duration for trigger outputs (Pulse mode).
• Even Spread Defaults: Warning thresholds auto-calculate as an even distribution across the configured duration.

Automation Integration

• Completion Trigger: Fires when countdown reaches zero or countup reaches target.
• Activity Trigger: Single input pin that resets and restarts the timer — perfect for UCI inactivity detection.
• State Outputs: Running, Paused, Complete LEDs for logic integration.
• Smart Button States: Transport controls automatically disable when their action is not valid.
• Pin-Friendly: All controls and outputs exposed as Q-SYS control pins.
• Auto-Reset: Optional automatic return to idle after completion.
