Q-SYS Wake-on-LAN
The Wake-on-LAN Q-SYS Plugin provides multi-device WoL management directly within Q-SYS Designer. It supports 1–16 independently configurable devices and two operating modes: - **Reactive** — TCP-probes each device; when a device goes offline a WoL magic packet is sent automatically - **Proactive** — sends WoL packets to each device on a per-device recurring schedule within a configurable active time window

directly within Q-SYS Designer. It supports two operating modes: Reactive mode
automatically probes devices via TCP and sends a magic packet whenever a device is
found offline, while Proactive mode sends WoL packets on a configurable schedule

Features
Wake-on-LAN Q-SYS Plugin — Features
Core Functionality
- Multi-device management: control 1–16 devices in a single plugin instance
- Reactive mode: TCP probing automatically detects when a device goes offline and sends a WoL magic packet — including on the very first probe at startup
- Proactive mode: scheduled WoL broadcast on a per-device recurring interval within a configurable active time window
- Reliable WoL delivery: magic packet sent via unicast, directed /24 broadcast, and limited broadcast (255.255.255.255) on UDP ports 7 and 9
Per-Device Controls
- Friendly name, IP address, and MAC address text fields
- Real-time state indicator: Awake / Asleep / Unknown (LED + text)
- Timestamps showing last successful probe and last WoL sent
- Manual WoL trigger input pin (fires immediately, any mode)
- Enable / Disable toggle (Proactive mode — skips disabled devices)
Reactive Mode
- Configurable global probe interval: 5–300 seconds
- Per-device configurable probe TCP port (default 80)
- WoL sent automatically whenever a device is found Asleep (covers first-boot-asleep too)
- 8-second probe connect timeout — prevents hung probes on firewalled or sleeping hosts
- Stale-callback protection via generation counters
Proactive Mode
- Per-device WoL interval: hours, minutes, and seconds
- Per-device active time window: Start H:M → End H:M (overnight windows supported)
- Window End defaults to 23:59 (full day) out of the box
- If start == end the window covers the full 24 hours
- WoL sent to all enabled devices on each interval tick within the window
- Per-device Enabled toggle to include or exclude individual devices
